Mineral foundation continues to take the cosmetics industry by storm, considered by many beauty industry experts, including makeup artists, cosmetologists and dermatologists, to be something of a makeup revolution.
Unlike traditional liquid foundations, indications are that mineral makeup could actually benefit your skin. While liquid foundation is made up of oils, alcohols and silicones, mineral foundation is made from crushed rocks containing minerals like mica, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.
Mineral makeup comes in a wide variety of shades and is suitable for all skin types, particularly problem skin or sensitive skin, and gives excellent coverage. Mineral foundation does, however, tend to be trickier to apply than regular makeup – mineral makeup is in a loose powder format, so use a brush to apply.
To prep your skin for the perfect makeup application, get a spa facial.
